ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Abstract submission deadline for Oral and Poster presentations: Sunday 31st May 2026

Abstract Categories

Submissions are invited that address one or more of the following areas:

Flexible, High-Quality Service Delivery

  • Outreach, hybrid, or hub-and-spoke models that deliver consistent clinical care across diverse settings

  • Approaches to maintaining continuity of care across regions, services, and patient journeys

  • Innovations that improve access, efficiency, quality, or safety in ear and hearing health service delivery

Culturally Safe and Clinically Led Practice

  • Models of care that integrate cultural safety with strong clinical governance and professional standards

  • Workforce development initiatives that strengthen clinical capability and multidisciplinary practice

  • Strategies for delivering high-quality care in culturally diverse and complex service environments

Integrated Systems and Evidence-Informed Care

  • Integrated care pathways across ENT, audiology, speech pathology, primary health, education, and early childhood

  • Research, evaluation, or data-driven approaches that inform service improvement and clinical decision-making

  • System-level initiatives that support sustainability, scalability, and long-term impact

Abstract Submission Guidelines 

  • Abstracts are restricted to 250 words or less (not including title, authors and affiliations).

  • Abstracts to be typed in Word format.

  • Structured (Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion), or Unstructured narrative form will be accepted.

  • All abstracts: Use capitals and bold typeface for the title.

  • All abstracts: Authors’ full name. Institution, department, city on the next line.

  • Underline the author who will present the paper.  Please state the professional role of the presenter. Please include your contact email address.

  • Type the text in single line spacing using portrait orientation. Take care not to type outside the margins (Left and right hand margin 3 cm; Top and bottom margin 2cm)

  • Must fit on a single A4 page. No images or tables will be accepted.

  • Poster dimensions should not exceed 100cm (width) x 120cm (height) (portrait orientation).

  • Indicate your preferred presentation form - either Oral Communication or Poster.

  • Note: final decisions on format of presentation will be made by the OMOZ 2024 Committee. If the abstract is not accepted an early bird registration discount would be offered.

Poster vs. Oral Presentation

After all abstracts have been submitted the OMOZ 2024 committee will review the submissions and select the abstract presentation format. You will receive a separate email from OMOZ 2026 to inform you of the format (i.e. poster vs. oral) of your presentation and additional directions for preparing your oral/poster presentation.

ACCEPTANCE NOTIFICATION

• Notification of programming decisions will come from the OMOZ 2026 committee shortly after the expiry of deadlines and the working program will be posted to the web site.

• The notification will include specific presentation instructions.
